The Stomach Bug

There are moments that make Jarod and I both stop and think, oh my, we are parents.  This night was one of them.  Both kids ended up with a stomach virus.  And we ended up cleaning up puke all over the house.  It was the most pathetic thing to watch.  I felt so bad for both of my babies.  All you want to do as a parent is to take away their pain.  Luke's wasn't too terrible.  But Mel got hit hard.  We both ended up sleeping with one of the kids.  Melanie and I on the floor in our bedroom.  (She wanted her mommy.)  And Jarod downstairs on the couch, while Lucas tried to stay comfortable in his swing.  When Luke got hungry, Jarod would trade with me.  Then once he was fed, we traded back.  It was an interesting and tiring night.  Poor Melanie ended up keeping a fever for the majority of the week.  And then ended up ending it all with a torn eardrum.  Poor thing.  Luckily the weather is changing and we are coming out of cold and flu season!!!
