3 Months Old

Still playing catch up.  Melanie turned 3 months old on June 20th.  She is 8 lbs. 11 oz.  She gained over a whopping 3 pounds since last month.  She's still playing catch up.  She is finally on the charts.  She is in the 1st percentile for both weight and height for her age. 
Some of her milestones this month are:
Tracking:  She follows people and objects with her eyes.  I just added extra toys to the mobile above her swing and she could watch them for hours.  She likes looking into her mirror during tummy time.
Tummy Time:  She moves her head from side to side.  She will lift it for a few seconds, but it's short lived.  She is starting to enjoy tummy time.  (Or at least she will tolerate it for 5-10 minutes...)
Her First Steps therapist commented on her great muscle tone.  I would have to agree with this.  She does a decent job of holding her head up.  When we have her on her tummy she likes to push against our hands or something hard to froggy herself forward!!! 
She is so much more aware of her surroundings than she was last month.  She will find her Mommy and Daddy in a room!
