Melanie's 1st Visit to the St. Louis Zoo!!!

Yesterday we beat the rain and took Melanie to the zoo for the first time.  We tagged along with good friends of ours.  It was a fun day!  Both Melanie and her bestie Macie did a lot of sleeping.  However, Whitney was really cute to watch with all the animals.  I guess 2.5 is the age for complete excitement for the zoo!  We had one funny incident in the penguin house.  I pulled Melanie out of her stroller and held her since I was afraid she would get too chilly.  We were watching the penguins when one of them decided to cannonball-it into the water.  Both Mel and I got drenched!  And of course crying ensued.  Poor baby!!!
