GREAT DAY!

Looks like our baby girl might be coming home tomorrow or the next day.  When the doctor did rounds today she told us to get ready for the baby to leave.  The only issues she needs to work out is eating.  Once she nipples 8 feedings in a row she's out the door.  She even told me to make an appointment for her pediatrician for Monday.  However things are always tentative.  So we'll see how things pan out.  We are both excited and comfortable with the doctors decision.  They know best and would never send her home before she was ready.  We found out from the doctor that the nurses were incorrect about how many times she d-stated while in her bassinet.  Seems that it happened one time and the nurse is now saying that she told the doctors that there was a draft and she thinks this is why it happened.  She was one of the over night nurses and our experience is that they aren't as wonderful as the daytime nurses are.  Although, I can't judge.  It's got to be hard to work all night long!  She is still having d-stats while feeding and sometimes turning blueish purple, but we now know how to watch for it and what to do to take care of it.  Its nothing that we can't handle.  It's mainly caused because she's so greedy for her food.  Good thing is that I will be breastfeeding her at home and she has never had one while we are doing this.  We are of course, trying not to get our hopes up though.  She really seemed like she was ready today.  Tomorrow she has a hearing test, gets her hepatitis vaccination, and has a car seat test.  Hopefully those all go well!
And off I go to start running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to make sure everything is perfect for her homecoming!
