Luke's 1st Trip to Kansas City

I have some major catching up to do.  Things have been crazy...  I've had sick kids again and I was busy getting ready for Luke's baptism that was this past weekend.  As of today we have been to the doctor once a week for the past four weeks.  Today, because Luke started with a bad cough over night.  Since Melanie was diagnosed with Croup last Monday the nurse said we ought to come in and get checked.  Luckily we're just dealing with a cold for now.  Anyway...  Back to getting caught up.

The weekend after last we made a trip to Kansas City to visit family and introduce Luke.  Luke got to meet his Aunt and Uncle.  His Great Grandma, Great Aunts, and Great Uncles.  We had a great time seeing everyone.

Melanie hanging outside with her Aunt Rachel.  It was a windy day.  And unfortunately Melanie was feeling very well.  She started with a fever about two hours after we arrived.  She had a miserable time sleeping and ended up in bed with Jarod.  While I took the couch with Luke.  (I took her to the doctor when we got back from KC and we found out she had croup.  With steroids and rest she is doing much better now.)

We all ended up at Grandma Angell's house Saturday night for a big family get together.  We even got to meet Jarod's cousin's newest son, Enrique.  He was born about four weeks after Luke.  

We had a great time as always.  It was definitely different packing up two kids and heading across the state. But we'll get used to it!  Both babies loved getting spoiled by their Grandma!!!
